ARP 2000 rod bolts B18C1 Need Torq specs
I have a set of H beam forged rods for my B18C1 build, and they come with ARP 2000 rod bolts, a 12 point 7/16" socket fits the head. I don't have a sheet telling me the torq specs. Any ideas?
Thanks

Ok, but the torque spec is the same.
Here's what I have done in the past.
1) torque rod one bolt to 20 ft-lbs.
2) torque opposing rod bolt on the same rod 20 ft-lbs.
This will get the rod cap seated evenly on the rod.
3) torque the rod bolt from step 1 to 50 ft-lbs. My torque wrench is not super accurate so I tend to go 2 to 3 ft-lbs higher.
4) torque the opposing rod bolt to 50 ft-lbs or slightly higher depending on the accuracy of your torque wrench.

You need to speak to who ever you brought your rods off. When they were honed, they was honed at a certain ftlbs. Don't make the mistake i made a few years back.

Yep, we did hone them all at 43ft lbs, I took my clearance reading at the same torq and my specs were right on .017 to .018
