If your car is a 2001, you probably won't have to go through emissions til 2006 and just have to pay your registration fee. But I'm not sure since you are moving here. If you do have to go, the results depend on whether you are running an OBD1 or OBD2 ECU. OBD2 cars are plugged in to their system through the port under the dash then checked for codes. They don't even pop the hood. If you have a OBD1 ecu in your OBD2 car, their computer won't be able to read it so they will do probably 1 of the following 3 options: (1) Run the car on their (idle and load) sniffer system (hope you have a cat and hope that you pass), (2) fail the car, or (3) make sure there are no codes and pass the car. They will also check your gas cap to make sure it works properly.

yup gas cap puts in work sealing off the vapors from the tank and the canister.

Yup they plug in play with the newer cars...

I had a fully built B20 turboed and almost passed, off by .15 on CO...then never got close to passing again

Oh well
