Apexi or F1 turbo kit?
hi, i am getting ready to rebuild my D16z6, and turbo it. I have been looking at the APexi Ax kit, and then get the fuel system upgrade, and the Gt spec intercooler. i have been told to check into the F1 kit, does anyone know about this kit, and how good it is, i am a beginner to forced induction, so i want a good kit to work with. where is the best place to get a apexi turbo, fuel system upgrade, adn intercooler kit for, for a good price? Also, what would you recomend for turbo timer, and is the avc-r good for a boost controller? also what would be good for postons, rods, crank, and head work, i have decided yet, PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!! thanks

Let me help you out there buddie. Let's take this one step at a time and head on over the the FI forum, there you will find answers to every single one of your questions and you won't even have to post...it's all there, you just have to search.
Why have you ruled out the Greddy kit? Imo, that's hands down the best kit for the d16 when you weigh in cost, ease of installation, and power output. Good luck.

the Apexi Kit is a great turbo package....but the Fuel upgrade is merely a fuel pump and fmu......12:1 with a high pressure intank fuel pump your still going to need the SAFC/VAFC piggyback.....and that should set you up just fine...with extra cash you might be able to get the Hondata...which seems like one of the better options out there for standalone....or you can go with the APEXi Power FC...which is another great product.......great idea with the intercooler your going to need it.

Also come with a missing link check valve so you don't have to do any "hacks".
