Let me know if the menus are understandable or if you would rename some items.
There are 2 settings that i don't understand yet, FC Datalogit calls them "Boost vs Ignition S.F." and "Inj vs Accel TPS".

There also some settings that even Power Excel Dealers can't view or set. Idle ignition control seems to be programmable and there are also some RPM and correction settings. Idle Air settings seems to be programmable too.

The whole communication / settings part is written entirely in ANSI C, that means it can be ported to nearly any hardware. The Pocket PC development environment is already installed

Why do you want to retard the ignition under cold coolant conditions?
Base timing is 16 degrees BTDC. So if you retard 17 degress at 0C (32F) the ignition event will happen 1 degree AFTER TDC!

The idle must be shitty as hell, if the engine even runs.

Also why would Apexi split the settings into 2 tables if both are retard? Therefore and for the reasons above i bet it is advance till operating temperature (80C) is reached and then the second table is retard.

What features would you like to see in the FC Tune Box?

That's what i've yet:

- Gear based ignition
- Gear based injection
- 2 Step Rev Limiter
- Anti Lag
- Remote Boost Switch (Setting 1 / 2)
- Shift Light
- Fan Control
- EGT vs. ignition
- EGT vs. injection
- Input for wideband, can be used for auto tuning the fuel base maps
- Programmable inputs (ignition and injection correction)
- Programmable outputs

Reaction time is about 0.1 second.

What target price would be fair? The Datalogit costs $363, and that's not a fair price in my eyes.

i use one in my car.i made 560whp only because i ran out of injector(720cc).just put in 1000cc,maybe i can make some more.
as far as the fc goes,i think the biggest turn-off for people is the fact that the commander only give you a limited adjustability of the fuel map.they intend on you having a power accel dealer program the base map and you fine tune it yourself.they do this in hopes that it will keep you from blowing it up.you can, however change the base map if it is way off by adjusting the pim volt,a adjustment for boost, and one for rpm.you can have full map control with datalogit though.
as far as taking long to tune it goes,if done right, won't take long at all.i had the base map programed by xs engineering(i sent the m a list of mods on a fax and they tuned it for $150 when i bought it) and then i spent 2 hours on the dyno and it was perfect.it ran fine before the dyno,we spent the time on it because i wanted more power.i use the gm 3 bar map sensor as well.it works great.i have used the fc on hondas and nissans and love them.the thing i like most is it runs like stock.mine idles and runs just as good as stock with the 1000cc injectors!

thanks for all the flowers! did you adjust your injector lag time? mine idled fine (i did have to lower the lag time)right of the bat,but i was already using 720cc.when i first started using it with the 720's,i had to make big changes in the lag time.

maybe my tuner was tryin to rape me??? thanks for the info though... helped out a bunch... it must be nice that you have a dyno #. all i got was a partial tune and that was it i made over 340whp and 297torque at a 5.5k rpm dyno cutoff at 12 psi..... i only had just enough to beat an 05 stock viper from behind after i got off the dyno and revved to 9k, that was it.... ever since then i've had no support and been untuned...

I think the most power overall with a PFC makes a Nissan Skyline in Japan with about 800 HP.

The Civic with the PeakBoost kit in the DSport made 402whp with a PFC.

Are you saying it's possible to tune the car by the means of a PDA?

FC Tune is portable to Windows CE and derivates. For all other operating systems only monitoring/logging will be available. I don't want to rewrite the whole user interface.

I will also make some additional hardware for the PFC but i don't want to tell too much yet.

I'll email a preview to some users here at the end of this or next week.

Jesus Christ. This completely blows my mind, I had no idea we, the human race, were "there" yet; I love technology. This has just closed the casket with Uberdata/Hondata/Turboedit/Chrome/Neptune/Haltech/Autronic/FAST/Microtech dead and stiff inside. At least for me personally, as a PDA-geek of astronomic proportions. I am willing to accept a possibly "less" of a tune for PDA controllability (I just assume that the PowerFC will not want to run DIS/Coil-On-Plug).

Edit:
I definately need more information. How to hook up the PDA (I have USB-host-functionality, by the way.) to the car/ECU/PowerFC? Wireless 802.11b by any chance? And what ECU will one have to lay down as the corner stone (did I hear JDM ITR or CTR, or is this my misconception?)?
