apex i v-afc and boost
im usually in a different forum. but i was finally allowed to register here. there are few that know much about turbo in my other forum. im looking to put a custom kit together for my car. they only thing i have questions about is the computer, fuel managment, and registering the boost...if anyone has any good sites on walkthroughs on tricking out the computer system that would help.
but my question is do any of you know about this?http://www.thedropshop.tv/vafc.htm
they use the v-afc, but wouldn't a s-afc work the same? and does anyone else run this setup?
what do you guys recommend, for a non-vtec custom turbo setup? check valves? "remapped" map sensor that will read the boost? or what.
for the fuel setup, i have 450cc (dsm) injectors, walbro 255 lph pump, b&m fuel pressure reg and gauge.
turbo = 14b (dsm), intercooler = dsm and all the piping will be made by me.
the motor is a b21a1. i've got all the basic bolt ons right now. with all that said, what do you guys think the low cost best solution to the fuel programming and map sensor stuff will work best?
p.s. daily driver in mind (somewhat reliable)

Re: apex i v-afc and boost (kyle h.)
hondata or aem ems would be the BEST way to go. If you are on a budget (like me) do the afc hack, and yes the s-afc works the same as the v-afc. You already have the injectors and fuel pump, so all you would really need to do is add the afc and you are ready to boost (atleast fuel wise). Oh, and you wont need a remapped sensor or check valves if you use the afc hack, you can run about 10-11psi on that setup before your ecu will "see" boost.
