Default Anyone using Turbonetics manual boost controller ?

I just installed it a Deltagate W/G and put the screw in all the way.
The W/G max'd out at 13 psi
However, the manual boost controller is set to min. boost and I am seeing (and feeling) 13psi on the B/G.

What am I doing wrong... the vaccum lines are done correctly and I don't seem to have any leaks in the line.

BTW the W/G has a threaded hole labeled 'vaccum' which sits just to the right of the spring adjustment screw> This is where the vac line for the controller is.

Ummm..... help ?

You need to have the screw backed out all the way for minumum boost.

Did you follow the instructions that came with the MBC. How do you have your vacuum lines routed from w/g to mbc vice versa.

Um... what spring is in that Deltagate? An MBC is absolutely incapable of setting boost lower than the wastegate itself is set.

Take the Black 9-13psi spring out and try the weaker 5-8psi Spring.

But that is what a MBC is for, the deltagate is designed to work with one... that is what the threaded vaccum port is there for.

I have tried reversing the boost and vaccum lines to ensure I put them on correctly and my installation matches the diagram perfectly and my B/G reads a rock steady 15" of vaccum. I also tried setting the MBC to max, half and quarter boost, no diff, always 13psi

I have the Turbonetics VBC, and no problems here. The port that says vacuum connect it to a vacuum source and the other one, connect it to the top of the wastegate. Turn it counterclockwise all the way so that the wastegate will work as if there were no MBC. Then slowly turn it clockwise and test drive. If its still too low, turn clockwise. If too much, turn it counterclockwise.

Got that POS to work finally, damn, it's touchy !

I rerouted my vaccum lines... the source prolly had a pressure drop somewhere, now it works... 2 3/4 turns in...... 6 psi woo hoo.... turn turn turn turn.... boom, got pistons and rods for sale ?
