Default anyone using a inline booster electric Water Pump?

With my coolant temp setting in the low 200's and sometimes around 215 at idle, i was looking into the option of running one of these:

I have a all-in-fab style radiator setup with it being tucked and setting at lower point then stock obviously..... maybe im working against my self on this one

Any thoughts?

Coating or wrapping that beautiful manifold would drastically improve your cooling capabilities. That baby is heat soaking your radiator for sure. What fan are you running?

To be honest, the all-in fan shroud is horrible. That shop is local and we have reworked more than a handful of those radiator setups.

Is that a tube header?

I am personally running a VW scirocco aftermarket dual pass radiator in my DC tucked in the rad support and it works very well. Idk much about the all in unit though. Is your rad fill point high enough to bleed the engine properly of air? I still feel heat soak is one of your biggest issues with that manifold creating a whole lot of heat

well i've had to bleed the unit twice... its a atco core that a local shop(Rameybuilt) put together, i had issues with it pushing coolant.... Then i used a funnel and got the water level higher then the engine and it pushed the air pockets out

its burn stainless collector that rameybuilt(Brian ***) put together

I would invest in a custom coolant neck fill bottle. Contact Tim at Turbo Elements he can make one for you. This will help you bleed the system. You could def be air bound to some extent

yeah before i went in for the night, i put the laptop on and saw temps reach 242f... so i shut it down and tried to bleed the system

hopefully the water pump is just the culprit and not a blown headgasket

well i elevated the front end quite a bit yesterday and used a funnel on the water neck and let the idle sit awhile and the level rose and bubbled...

I drop the car down and let it cool, turned it back on and now its running fine... doesn't go above 203f at a stoplight or a long idle period

UPDATE: yesterday i took the car out and noticed that by time i got to the first stoplight my temp gauge was over the half way mark... I pull over and pop the hood noticing that the bottom hose is cool like before

Could there still be a air pocket?

You've either got a very airbound system because of the low coolant till point or a blown hg pushing air into the system giving you false overheating conditions.

Leak down test should rule out HG. If it's not headgasket you'll need to come up with another fill point.

took thermostat out to get some flow.... not so much

Update:
This morning i used a combustion chemical test and the chemical stayed blue and did not turn yellow what so ever .... which would indicate a oil leak in the coolant system.

Waiting on my air pressure coolant refiller to get here, maybe that will get whatever air pocket out thats in the system
