I need some custom sized pistons. These arn't very well known, well at least not in the import scene really. I need a bigger pistons which i dont think anyone stocks, and i will need some custom sized slugs.

My builder speaks very highly of them, and id liek to know what are your opinions are about Venolia Pistons.

Never heard of them... sound like linoleum... but then I've never built an engine

Venolia Pistons have been around for more than 30 years. I didn't know they made any pistons for imports as they were always a a V-8 company. I would stick with a proven import piston.

I have never heard of them either. I heard a little about it in the DSM world, but not hondas. Thing is, i need custom pistons because no shelf stocked JE's will fit my H23. I realize there r a lot of good comparable pistons, so the deciding factor will be most likely the turn around time.

In the new SCC, their is a 90 mazda mx6 using those pistons, and he is set up for road racing.


ps: that was the first and only turbo car i ever drove so it has a special place in my heart.

It seems like its better known in the DSM world. Rigth now im split between CP, Wiesco, and Venolia. To tell the truth, whoever can make me a set ASAP will be who i go with. But im curious about the CP's....

A friend of mine has the Venolia's in his spirit R/T. I know a lot of these guys are running them. It seems like most of them are laying down good hp numbers and even more torque. He has had very good luck with his.

Well, ive decided to go with Venoila. I will let you all know how it goes in about a month or two.

I heard they use no silicon content? meaning they run high clearances and will slap like mad during cold starts

Simple way to find out. find out how much do Venolia recommend the piston to wall clearance.

I would choose from CP, endyn/wiseco, IB/wiseco, ross

I was under the impression that Venolia had a higher silicn content then JE and Ross. Ill check it out
