Default anyone use a garett t-25?

As you can tell from my sig, I have a '97 Eclipse GS-T and i am going to be doing a turbo upgrade in the future. I am just wondering if anyone has or does use Garett t-25 turbos to turbocharge their Honda. I have a roomate that has an '01 lude and he talks about it every now and then, but I dont know if he really would or not. Can anyone let me know any cons about using this turbo? I know it is small (appox. 300cfm), but it spools quick. Also, what affects are caused by running a turbo and vtec?

it would work in a low boost application you would need a custom manifold to make all things work right. The turbo might be a little small for the lude though. It would work nice on a d16 honda rather than a h22a prelude.

that turbo is a little bit to small for that motor. If you're gonna go through all the trouble of turboing your non turbo car you might as well at least get a properly sized turbo.

yes like the above states, way too small for an h22a. might as well just go all motor instead.

the t-25 is good for a d series motor, maybe even a b16 but i wouldn't even use it on that. the 1g, 14b turbo would be a better choice though for a d series and b16.

Default For a year....

I ran a t25. You can check the dyno of it on a d16z6 at http://home.earthlink.net/~pritos/civic/civic.html

Full boost around 2500 and then falls on its face above 4500. BUT, makes a great turbo for low boost apps on a sohc. Just dont expect it to make power above 12psi, it basically becomes a heat pump then.

keep checking back to the page though. I'm going to dyno soon since I've upgraded to a td05-16g and 3" piping.

Really? I wasnt sure if it would have positive or negative effects with the different lift and duration. I guess, really it should be fine, except that the t-25 gets it nuts cut off @ about 6k rpms.

My homey has a t-25 in a Dodge Avenger. It's a beast. I believe he's running around 8 psi. He's fast, almost as fast as me.
