what should the correction ideally be set to? my setup is all funky and I can't get it licked. the car keeps setting the too rich DTC. ok fine, I DO have 450cc injectors in the car. BUT, the car won't run with a correction higher than say 25% on the SMC. now I would think that with NO turbo, I could set the correction to just about 50% and still be alright... the engine runs best between 0% correction and say 20%. in an effort to lean this puppy out, I turned the correction as high as I could before the car quits running right, and that correction happens to be about 25% maybe a little less. this doesn't make sense to me. the SMC is working fine, I checked the MAP voltages coming and going from the unit. it appears to be doing what it is supposed to. is it possible that by reducing the map voltage more than 25% on a naturally aspirated car makes the MAP voltage so low the ECM can't work with it?

why dont you just use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on an NA car, wouldnt that be alot easier

sorry I forgot to clarify. I am putting a turbo on in a few weeks. I was merely trying to get ahead of the game with the injector install.

My idle is set at 59%!. at WOT with 9psi, it is only set at %40. Just unplugged the wide band form all day driving and the fuel is set safe but still pulls hard! it stays in the mid 11's all throughout the rpm range. I know I could tune it alittle leaner but I am waiting for my vtec to get put on and then I will do it right with the dyno and get it perfect. So far, SMC+ is the best thing to happen since the safc. The people in the shop love the damn thing. They had never seen a honda idle with 450's gosh darn it it does. They use high fuel pressure and smaller injectors. I think that is all about to change

I gotta get rid of these injectors, I don't have faith in them. I didn't have them flow tested or checked prior to installation, and I'm not going to spend the money now. I'll just get RC 440's.

you can get them cleaned for 30$ or spend 70 a peice for rc

who cleans 4 injectors for 30 bucks??? RC wants 28 PER injector. lemme know where I can get it done for 30 bucks.. I'm there.

yeah I'm running the AFC hack w/o my turbo in yet, I did it to get ahead of the game just like you. I'm using uncleaned dsm 450's and it's running just swell. -38% across the board, and no problems. They are a little 'impercise' at the lower rpms, b/c of their massive size for such a small motor, but on the higher RPM's they work just fine. Good luck, they should work...
