Default Anyone run Port Flow Valvetrain??

I am looking at valvetrain for the new FI set up and wondering if anyone had any experience with the Portflow parts. I have heard from some that they are nice, but just wanted to see what you all had say....

Just ordered a set of guides for the car today actually.

Ive seen some of Portflows work.....very nice. But if your spending the cash then I would go with Ferrea, only reason I used PF for the guides is cause Ferrea doesnt offer them for the LS.

If you looking for machine work let me know, Im in Pa also and I have an awesome shop for headwork.

I have a LS head and Portflow worked their magic on it. On a flow bench, the head flows about 251 cubic feet per minute (CFM) on the intake side and 206 CFM on the exhaust side, at 25 inches of water. This is up about 19% on the intake side and about 12% on the intake side compared to stock.

Parts:

Ferrea SS OS intake/exhaust valves, Crower Dual Valve Springs, Portflow Titanium retainers, Portflow Bronze Valve Guides, and Portflow P&P/Valve Job. Here is a link to the pics:

We have almost the same exact setup. Except I stayed with stock retainers for longevity, and my guy did the port job. Also did some work to the seats and valves. Same guy who does Bullish's and IMPO's valve work!!

i went with Portflow valvesprings, but OEM retainers for longevity. also Ferrea SS valves. i have no complaints about the Portflow springs, work great and were pretty cheap when i bought them. cheapest in cost that i've seen actually.

one thing i didn't go with is the Bronze valveguides, should have but wasn't sure at the time when i rebuilt the head.

good stuff, I use their inner springs and retainers in all the motor buildups that I do, turbo and all motor. Its a good safeguard with turbo and stock camshaft setup from high RPM acceleration rates you need a stiff spring on high boost.
