some quick questions
I've been reading up a lot on turbo diy's, basic piece all the parts together yourself. for those of you who've done it already, how was it? is it a waste of time? will i see more power for my money or should i just spend the extra 1000 and get a kit?
thanks,
nate
btw i've got a stock ls and i'd probably use a t3/t04 with a fairly large front mount. the piping is all i'd have to do myself, and all the oil sh&t.

Re: some quick questions (styler7)
it's all up to you. the kit will be more convenient, but if you are going to change the parts out (ie. wanting higher boost) then you should go custom. With the turbo kits, most should allow you to keep your ac. As for custom manifolds, a lot don't allow you to keep it. My sister's car has a 95 gsr with a T4 turbo and she had to dump her ac. So it's basically if you don't want to resarch in good detail about throwing things together so they work properly, get the kit. If you wanna go the custom way, go for it. Whatever floats your boat
