Default anyone mastered shimming wastegate springs?

just want to know if everyone really goes out and buys new springs for new PSI levels, or goofs around with shims, maybe should compile a list of whhat thickness equate to what added boost levels?

why? springs are <20 bucks.

and you can purchase a manual boost controller for about 20 bucks.

I have shimmed a WG before. The only reason was because we had no MBC and no stiffer springs and a b18b hatch that wanted more than 5 psi. It would be a waste of time to try and list all the combinations of WGs, springs and #of shims. It takes all of 2 min to change anyway.
