When your TPS = 0 (let off gas), the injectors cut off until the engine drops below 1100 rpms and then proceeds to idle.
This is normal.
This is normal.

if my idle AFR is around 12:1 would first gear be pretty bogged down? the reason i ask is cuz it is!

Thats way to rich at idle. You want to be around 14.5-15.0(relatively lean) during idle conditions. Timing can also effect idle quality but if your that rich I would try leaning it out for 1. To save gas and 2. To get a better idle.

This is a good question! I was wondering this as well, but I see that I'm not the only one with this issue. As for it not hurting the motor, what you all said, that is what I thought. But now that I know what others think about it, it makes it a little easier to swallow. Cool.
Hey, I got something to throw in, just food for thought. I had my car tuned with the stock civic EX o2 sensor, and it ran fine. I had an accident at the track, and, long story short, had to get a new O2 sensor. So, I got a hold of an integra LS sensor, and now my A/F gauges are all different. They still read "normal", but they um.... "dance" alot different now. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there.
