Default Anyone know how to tell...

If a compressor housing is a T04E or T04B? I know a guy who has a T4 .60 housing, but he doesnt know if its a T04E or T04B

si there some way to tell from the codes that are stamped on the housing, or by measuring it?

I think most T04Es have 6 compressor blades and most T04Bs have 7 compressor blades. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

the problem is that its just the compressor housing.. there are no wheels.. man, there HAS to be some way to figure this out

is that true? i might be able to find out if he still has the turbo this came off of or something

Yeah, the trim letters have nothing to do with the wheels....... I believe the E-trim is the smaller of the two

WOW this is totally contrary to what I've always thought. . . which was T04B = smallest , then T04E = bigger, T04S = even bigger. So whats up?
