Anyone here use Turbonetic's?
Just curious, does anyone here use turbonetics? because that's most likely the company i will be getting my future turbo from?
Also if so what turbo did you go with?
I want to customize my own but at the moment since im still a NOOB on turbo's im going with the t3/t4 from them. Thanx

Alot of people run turbonetics. I did for several years. But I now run Precision turbos in all my cars. Even my diesel has a precision turbo. Not really.

have you researched turbine and Compressor sizes..
I'm wondering the same thing though..what brand turbo.
the garretts are reliable (so i've heard), but i'm looking into isamu..

i had a t3/t4 from turbonetics...then it blew....i dont know if it was there fault or mine...i personaly like precision turbos...like the sc50, good efficient turbo...plus it also helps that Art sells them..

i run a t3/t4e with a stage 3 wheel i love it..but it is my first turbo. Im sure a precision is better, they use 360 degree bearings and some other bonuses but there kinda pricey, i guess you get what you pay for. but for low boost my turbo is great, full boost at 3400......

i'm still new with turbos..t3/t4 means one half is t3 and other is t4 (as in compressor and turbine)? what does the e stand for t3/t4e?

I know that T3/T4 is great for smaller engine's. I understand some thing's about turbo's. I just am wanting to learn more. I heard turbonetics was good. But I will definately look into Precision turbo's.

There is a book that can be purchased almost anywhere automotive books are sold entitled "Turbochargers" by Hugh MacInnes - although it is a bit outdated, turbos themselves haven't changed really ever, and you can learn a ton from reading this material. This book definately falls into the required reading category.

i know exactly what u are talking about in fact im even thinking about getting it 2day... i just never purchased before because i was planning on getting a b18c5 and going NA... but i change my mind.. and i will be purchasing that recently....

same here, i was going to go heavy cams, now ls turbo (maybe type r head eventually).. I want the 360 degree oiling on bearing (available on the Precision?..how about Turbonetics?)

A turbocharger has a thrust bearing through which the turbine shaft slips through, and it also contains a thrust collar which basically spins against the bearing to absorb the axial forces and loads the super-high RPM turbo puts out. This bearing will typically have about 3-4 little "pads" that the thrust collar spins against, and will have a cutout for the oil drain to exit the turbo. But the oil drain cutout removes a good chunk of the contact surface for the collar to rotate against, making it only in contact with the bearing 270 degrees around, or something close to that. The 360 degree bearing incorporates up to 6 of these "pads" and for a full circle of contact surface, still containing an oil drain notch but lower down to not interfere with the bearing surface. This concept will generally allow the turbocharger to withstand higher thrust loads without failure.... in terms to the user, they won't have a problem with it years down the road like they might with a non-360 degree thrust bearing (you still could kill it if it's an improper match to the engine, lack of oil flow, debree in the oil, etc). But it will typically last longer than your run-of-the mill turbocharger.
Turbonetics does incorporate this in all of their turbos at the moment... Since Precision uses Garrett cartridges (I think?), they would also use the 360 bearing design.

Which turbo do all of you think would draw the most power out of my B20b/z...?
I know i need to search.. i just got back from the book store with the "Turbochargers" that was created sometime in the stone age. hahaha
