Yes, LHT does, and if you don't like that one then bust out the 'ole TIG and make one yourself. It will probably cost you way more than $1k to buy the materials and pay yourself for the time involved. Good luck though!

okay so its that hard eh. thanks ill pass on the intercooler. LOL
i thought the intercooler setup may be a bit easier then that. ill look into the water injection.

Argh, let me add some critical info...
1. The guy is looking for an intercooler for a D16.
2. LHT stopped making D-series parts. I talked to John (LHT) myself - he said there wasn't a big enough market to continue fooling around with d-series.
Search on hostboard. That is the JRSC forum.

Well, I would disagree on that as far as the H22 JRSC users go.

I made one a while ago. It worked, but was a PITA. I used a really cheap core, but you could use a better core without resorting to the big $ Laminova cores that LHT uses (of course those big $ Laminova cores will probably work better than whatever DIY contraption you build, but that's why they cost big $). I'm thinking a good motorcycle oil cooler core would work well, or at least better that the cheap POS core that I used. You need to have a big reservoir somewhere, like a gallon or two, or it will heat soak very quickly, I found that out from experience. It cooled off my charge air 20-30 degrees, even with my crappy DIY setup and a 20 oz reservoir (made by Dasani, only $1.00 pre-filled with water) but the biggest difference I noticed was that it just took a few seconds for my entire JRSC setup to cool off completely after a dyno pull. Before the intercooler it took a while in between pulls for it to cool off. Here's some pics of my DIY JRSC intercooler, I can't weld, so I made the whole thing with JB weld and a Dremel, and yes, I know, it's pretty sad.

why not get a piece of metal to bolt inbetween the head and charger (as long as you have room between the firewall) and have it look like this from the side
<--- | \/ |<-----
So that when air goes inside this small rectangle (like a giant flange) it gets knocked down and out, or up and out. I would send it to a topmount ala WRX, and have it come back in through the other side. I have seen a FMIC on a crazy green/yellow hatchback with nothing on the inside but race car ****. Its got no dash, etc.

There are two problems:
1. Moving the charger even the slightest bit means you need to find a bigger belt somewhere.
2. Because the intake manifold studs are barely long enough to begin with, you'd need to get longer studs to go through the extra flange.
Anyway, I've seen a guy who had done something similar to that without inserting the extra metal piece. He cut open the manifold and welded in a slanted piece of sheet metal which forced the incoming air upwards. Then he drilled a large hole in the top where the air exited. Actually, let me go draw a diagram.
