Interesting. More info available here. http://wbo2.com/
The AEM unit is still cheaper depending where you buy it, but the AEM does not come with a display. depends on how much the AEM display will be and if it will really work with other systems.

DAMN, I forgot to give that link. We'll all the info is available at the link that DeepSi provided above.
Hopefully this will be cost affective now and in the future. You can't beat replacing a wideband for $28.99!

How much is the AEM unit? The TE come out to be $377.40 if you buy the sensor from the site listed!

The AEM unit is $360 from Kyle and Viren on this board. I did not look at buying the sensor elsewhere. If it is only ~$370 then that is a good price, sensor, control unit, and display.

Where can you get a display unit? Is the VW sensor a 5 wire? Dont they have kits w/ the display unit and 02 all togeather? So I guess the kit should be cheaper now, right?

Hell if you put it all together yourself you could do wideband for 225. Now that is cheap.

I've done a few DIY-wideband kits.
Practice a little bit desoldering then soldering on some old broken electronics. The practice will be a lot harder than the kit assembly... desoldering is a PITA, but assembling clean electronic components and PCB board is really simple.
Anybody see my other post in re a wideband display?

if you build the version 2.0 its only $154 for the unit and the display. that kicks *** if you ask me. i thought the v1.5 was easy to build with previous soldering experience and definately worth the money savings. i'd say the aem is a rip off if the price is that steep without a display even. i guess i look for the economical route.

Easier.

MoTec claim the NTK is more accurate - they are wrong!
