it has to be some sort of stop leak.. if there arent any shavings, look for damage on your rad.. it was probably the ends leaking.. but you never know.. a lucky rock or something could have busted something..

I put a bunch of bars leak in my GE sleeved motor at one time and my coolant looked kinda brownish but what I found when I took the head off was the coolant jackets had some brown stuff dried up on it. Kinda looked a little like what came out of your motor but I would say when you get it running again just flush your coolant system out with a hose and forget about it. No worries that bars leak just helped condition the sleeves and had no adverse or bad effect of the block.

Thats definitely bars leak, I like soundeffects run it to keep the sleeves free of rust and such in my motor and that is definitely what it looks like once its been inthere for awhile, I think the bottle i poured into my engine was a 1qt bottle and that should definitely be enough to look exactly like what u got going on there..

Well another poster suggested it was bars Leak but I've only heard of it used on sleeved engines.

 

Time to flush the whole motor of everything

It looks like Bars leak but with mineral build-ups on it...

I've seen something like that before from folks who just use regular tap water instead of distilled... The calcium/minerals in tap water builds up similar to that (in chunks), but also looks to be mixed with Bars leak which made it look like a muddy colour.
