Thats wierd. I've seen some bugs in some JDM motors but I don't know...
Any machine work done to the motor in the past?

built ... sleaved , pistons, rods... kept blowing head gaskets but was not over heating so i dont think it was blocked up then again its like 20 out so i dont know if that was keeping it from overheating.

my thermostat on my d16a1 in my 1g crx wasnt workin, i pulled the thermostat cover and theres two little bugs in there. about an inch long each weirdest thing ive seen.
just a thought maybe, but maybe someone used some of that radiator leak sealnt stuff that supposedly eats your head gasket away and whatever was left sat in your radiator and than got into system and maybe caused your gaskets to blow.....

Looks like Bars leak which some people use in sleeved motors to make sure they don't leak or in their radiators.

my friend had a chipmunk climb inside the bell housing on his motor(trans am), when we went to crank it... well you get the picture. it made a really funny squeaking/crunching sound. we tried to turn it over like 8 times. poor chipmunk, lol
