Well im assuming you are not building a show car, so in that case just do what is going to work.

Get the elbow and end of story.

Its the only thing you can do without shaving the valve cover.

can i ruin the WG by shaving it and can i ruin the valve cover by shaving that. seems like the seal is right there so wouldnt that ruin it and make oil come out?

buy a bmc for a lot cheaper than a blox. it fits without modification...

dont shave the wastegate! it was a joke. shaving the valve cover is fine as long as you dont go too deep, just shave little test. and keep doing it until it fits. you should have nothing to worry about if you have control of your grinder, or dremel. as you can see in the pic I used a grinder, and took too much off, and its mostly the vavle cover.
