bend the dipstick and it will fit, also u might have to shave the v cover just to clear the waste gate or get a elbow

do yo uthink flattening one side of the "hat" would help you any, i know that the flange is kinda thick around the o.d. and you could probably remove some material there

already done it before. the blox manifold will hold boost like a rock however it was always built to use a WG elbow.

you can grind some off the valve cover and hte head. just do enough to fit dont go too crazy

Not everyone can afford a $1000 manifold. Unless you have something worth saying just don't reply, that comment was useless.

Kind of a "oh ****, didn't think about that" issue.

I have that manifold and ran into the same problem. If you dont want to use an elbow your going to have to do some grinding. I had spoolin performance make me a custom setup with an elbow. Talk to project dc2.

I heard about that problem before I installed my set up. I even bought a turbosmart wastegate which was suppose to be a little shorter and still fit, but it didn't. I just get the elbow, I'd rather do that than shave the valve cover.

You can get one here for $35:
http://www.importparts.com/sho...=5365

I had mine made up by Project DC2 with a dump tube and it works fine! (little more expensive though)

Mine Blox manifold and elbow set up hold 7psi all the time, never a problem!

i guess that would be my fault, i fitted it up on an LS motor and it fit perfect, I didnt account for VTEC heads. Upon explaining to blox, they stated they never meant to have it bolt up, it was always supposed to be used with the WG elbow.

i will be producing a bolt up downpipe for them soon and wg elbow to be mass produced for their manifolds. keep on a look out

had the same problem, shaved the head and valve cover about a 1/8" to 1/4" and also the webbing on your block for it to fit, and bend the dipstick. pic of mine with a spoolin downpipe

click on the pic you will see how much I had to shave

You could probably angle mill the flange of the WG to tilt it foreward slightly.

It would hit the hood.

in the end, I had to go with the 90 degree elbow also. There is no other way around it really.

and the good thing about it I have a brand new elbow here that I bought from import parts for $35+ shipping, but you can have it for $35 shipped.
in my opinion it works and look better without the elbow, I like the way it looks with the wastegate on top. problem is when the engine is hot its a bitch to check your oil, and if you dont rotate the wastegate like I did in the pic you will burn up the vac line. blox is a nice manifold, but it takes a lot to make it work
