Anyone burning up dipsticks?
Hey,
I have a ITR with the greddy kit. Unfortunately my dip stick was resting against the turbo and burned up the original dipstick.
I bent the dipstick tube away from the compressor so it's got about a 0.5" clearance. Is that far enough? Anyone else burning dipstick grommets (rubber that holds the seal between the dipstick and tube)?
(oh, I'm not sure exactly where all that burned up rubber ended up going, hopefully in a discarded oil filter )

not sure but I do have alot of soot like residue all over mine..maybe it is burning..even though it sits a good inch and a half away from the manifold
You could always just cut yours.

Sorry I wasn't clear, my dipstick TUBE was resting against the turbo, and the rubber that holds the dipstick in the tube burned off. If I cut it off, I end up with oil all over my manifold when I boost That's what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks until I got a new dipstick today.
