Anyone bought a ebay turbo just for parts?
I need a .63 exhaust housing and a to4 57 trim. So I was thinking on buying an ebay turbo and just take the compressor wheel, the exhaust housing, the 60. cold side and the other parts dierect to the trash. its this possible.

Man U FTW
I'd be wary of that...SSAC turbos arent exactly high quality and im sure that carries through to all of the parts, not just a few. I'd look for a Garrett replacement personally

Re: (Schister66)
possible but why?
either try your luck with the ebay, if it goes then get it rebuilt w/ garrett parts.
or if you dont want to risk it, buy the real deal.

No matter what way u look at it, its gonna need balancing when ur done.

I had try putting my precision sc34 .63 ar turbine onto an ebay turbo. I can tell you that it won't work since the ebay shaft will rub against the exhaust turbine causing it to be stuck there pretty good. But I'm not sure about the other way around though.

ebay turbod dont have .60 A/R cold sides, they are .50.
the exhaust housings are different then typical garrett stage 3 wheels too.
in other words dont waste your time/money
