anybodys turbo honda eat WHEEL BEARINGS or just mine
hey all, i am having this issue with my turbo civic eating up wheel bearings, now i dont make the most HP in the world and the car does run on slicks when i got to the track, im using DSS axles, and i dont think it has anything to do with it
in the past year i have replaced 2 bearings on each side, does this sound right?
now i just noticed it seems as if i need 2 more, damn!

definately think there is a problem there..... I'm on my ~20th honda now and never once replaced a wheel bearing.....yes my car is boosted. good luck though

Sounds like you might be using the wrong axles or the wrong int. shaft. I'd check and see if they are binding.

it may be my intermediate shaft because, i had to have frank send me a different axle, i think i ended up with the wrong one when i did a few swaps on my own cars a while back
and yes my slicks do stick out a bit, they are 13x8 bogarts, but it os only on the car for a day or so at a time, other than that its on factoy wheels in the garage, or on jackstands, sitting off the ground
RIGHT NOW- when my car is on jackstands with stock honda wheels, i can grab the top of my tire and move the tire and rim about a 1/4 of an inch back and forth
thanks guys

I know too low of a wheel offset can cause premature wheel bearing wear, or tires that stick way out pass the fender, I belive fwd honda stock offsets are 45mm and everything is balanced for a 45mm offset wheel. I would start there.
