I have a td05 18g and its been spiking like crazy, i took it apart last night and there is a hairline crack right on the housing next to the wastegate flapper. Probably not weldable, would a crack that small cause a massive spiking issue? If I can't fix it then I will have to replace the housing, money is tight so I would rather replace just the housing and not the entire turbo. Anybody know where I can buy a replacement housing?

Is this the greddy 18g, or a DSM 18g? If it is a DSM 18g, you can get the housing at many places. Bullseye on EBAY makes a good one.
If it is a greddy, you need to call them up because their housings are custom cast.

 

its greddy...i was hoping dsm and greddy 18gs would be compatible, but i guess they aren't.

 

you could go to a DSM flanged manifold and have a DSM shop fit up a housing for you.

 

Sorry, to clarify, your 18g cartridge will fit in a stock DSM exhaust housing with no mods.
It's just that the greddy DP and Manifold wont work with the stock DSM housing...
