With a stock OEM 3 piece gasket, the compression is around 11.36:01

well how about this:

CR= 9.576293094958858:1 with a 0.098" thick headgasket
10.027323530871673:1 with a 0.078" thick headgasket

both thicknesses happen to be available from 2K_TEG for 126 for .078 and 181 for .098 and you could also go to:

9.129503013393615:1 with a 0.12" one for 181 as well. id go 9.6 or 10 though. keep good power at low boost.

oh wow, thanks alot. That definitely helped me out. Would that be a smart choice for me to do though? Wouldn't having a really thick head gasket advance my timing?

Lazyguy-sorry man, i'm keeping my block heh.

i dont see why it would advance your timing. i would go with the 10:1 and still make nice power. im considering upping my CR in my LS.

How about for a B16? Anyone have info for head gaskets thqt can lower my compression. I am running a stage 2 revhard on a b16 with stock internals.

get the .054" for 81 shipped and you will be at 9.55:1 usdm or 9.72:1 jdm. thats i nice CR to be at.

Oh, i was thinking that it would advance my cam timing because the height of the head would be slightly off. They say when you mill the head, you retard the cam timing slightly because the total height of the head is smaller, and so the timing belt would be slightly off.
