Cometic makes their headgaskets in different thicknesses. Depending on the thickness you order you can retain or lower your compression. I prefer to run stock thickness on the headgasket and lower the compression with pistons.

Well put. I love my cometic HP gasket. Very high quality.
SCE should have used there copper head gasket for pennies. Worthless Piece of *&%$
