Default Any turboed GSR's using stock intake manifolds?

Anyone with a turbocharged GSR, when VTEC starts to engage at 4400 rpms, does it feel like your car hits a brick wall? I think its the shitty design of the stock manifold with the second runner opening up, but I'm not sure. If you don't have the stock manifold, what are you using and does it flow significantly better (= more power)?

Uhhh, I have a stock intake manifold and it dont feel like I hit a brick wall. But I agree the stock is not the best, but it works just fine if you dont have the money to buy skunk, venom etc..... your car will not be slow with it, but it can be faster with an other option. To those who know me, Im cheap and I like to keep it simple.
A dyno with Stock intake manifold (note mine)

I agree with Art. I'm running a stock manifold too it might not be the best one( worst design?) but it still works for me....at least for now.

My intake manifold has 2nd runners also and they open at 4800 RPM. It's good to have that when you're NA, but after turbo, they become somewhat a restriction under low RPM when boosting. On my Prelude there's a vacuum line that is connected to a diaphragm actuator. All I did was disconnect this vacuum line and it keeps the extra 4 runners open at all times. So basically you're always running with 8 runners. Make sure you plug the now disconnected vacuum line so you don't get a boost leak. I didn't get a check engine light, but again this was on an H23A. You guys should try this.

GSR, Stock intake, and turbo...

Best (smoothest) power delivery is VTEC at 4800 and IAB at 6000.

I notice you are using a Rev-Hard Kit. What stage kit are you running. Equlilength manifold?
