Any ideas?? (coolant problem)
Benson sleeves, b18c5 head and block
Ny car loses coolant. Its been losing it since day 1. I recently pulled the valve cover, noticed this.....

So i replaced the headgasket, and 2 days later, I havent reved over 3k rpms... still losing coolant my valve cover is creamy once again.
What is going on?
No smoke, no coolant in oil the 2nd time..
edit:still dont know the problem

Water in the oil. Possible culprits:
1) Leak between water jacket on HG.
2) Cracked sleeve.
3) Cracked block.
4) Warped deck.
5) Lifted head.
6) Possibly cracked intake manifold?
The only times I have seen this much coolant in the oil has been head gasket related.

Jordo, I would have your mechanic check to see if your sleeves dropped. I know it's far fetched but I have seen two motors similar to your's and that's what was wrong with both of them

I sold it later, And the dude DD's it now. So i dont think it went anyfurther.

Yikes, def. looks like coolant + oil. I would imagine when you add coolant into the oil you lose a lot of lube, and knowing your situation I probably wouldnt drive that sucked until you figure it out
GL, bump
the guys that did the work on the headgasket, one of them is comign to pick the car up tonight..
He thinks i might be over reacting..
When we started the car up after the headgasket replacement, the motor still had a little water in it, i hope thats the water im seeing..
