Another Wideband 02 Question
Hey guys, my stock 02 is crapping out and Im looking to upgrade to a wideband o2 sensor. Is there any way that I can get an aftermarket wideband 02 sensor and use it for tuning, but also use it to send the signal to my car as the primary o2 sensor. Thanks a bunch guys!!!
I need this wideband to "talk" to my Greddy E-Manage and the stock ECU if I was a little unclear in my original post. Thanks!
Thanks...I need the display...so the FJO has the stock connector and then has more wires to run the display?? Sorry about all the Noob ?s..I searched, but most of the WB02 stuff I found was just sensors for sale. Thanks!!!

You will have to splice a connector on the FJO wires http://www.hondata.com/techwidebandtuning.html PM me if you have any more questions. Would be glad to help. I got confused before and even had the FJO in hand

The LM1 doesn't have a narrowband output I don't think so you will have to keep the stock o2 and weld another bung.

hahah dang..you beat me to it!! You're the man!!! How much would you pay for a used one?? Edit number 2: Is 325 shipped too much for a used one??
EDIT: Also, I will need to splice the OEM plug onto the end to get it to work with the stock ecu correct?

Hey man, try not to give wrong information. The http://www.innovatemotorsports.com wideband LM-1 DOES mimick the regular narrowband output to yhour stock ecu. THe reason i know is because i have the wideband and i also am familiar with it's programming. It has two analog outputs that you can program. STock 02 sensor voltage is about 0.1V (lean) - 0.9V (rich). The LM1 can do it. It's also more than 1/2 the price of the FJO.
But If i were you, i'd just purchase another stock 02 sensor and run that. Using the wideband in there as the stock 02 sensor runs too many variables IMHO. If you want to take it out to tune someone elses car, or if you want to sell it. You can purchase a bosche replacement sensor for about 50-70 bucks. You can get a used sensor on teh board fgor 15-30 bucks.

Not to be an ***, but he said that he didnt "think" it would work. He didnt say for sure...he's just trying to help all us unknowing WB02 starters here!!
but if your stock O2 is crapping and you are still using the stock ecu unless it's hondatad, you will still need a new O2 regardless if you are getting wideband or not.
haven't tested it out yet, but the techedge 2.0 has the ability to send a narrowband signal to the ecu.
the 2.0 unit is 279 shipped to the states from techedge directly from http://www.wbo2.com, the sensor is 36 shipped from http://www.1stvwparts.com, and i use a palm IIIc for display, logging, playback. great way to go and then you are no longer the dyno tuners bitch.

hence why I put "I don't think". Does look like a nice unit though.
