Default Another Spark Plug Help Thread.

i am currently running NGK R5672A-9s and i have a small miss at idle. i have some BKR6E-11s sitting in the garage that i was using before i went turbo. do you think if i threw those on it would cure the miss at idle? i am basically looking for a better all around plug. i heard nothing but good from the BKR7E plug, but what "coldness" should i run? most people say to run between 1 or 2 steps colder. what is the stock "coldness"?

stock B16, skunk2 intake manifold, t3/to4e turbo, twisted ram mani. running a basemap for now.

any and all help is appreciated.

9's are FAR to cold for what you have, Use 7's and get it tuned running on a basemap isnt optimal either, also the plugs you are using are race plugs, use resistor plugs... gap them to .024 or so...

thanks. i am only running a basemap because there are no reputable tuners in my area. i'd have to drive atleast 6 hours to get tuned. i will be doing this in august though when the funds allow it.

ok just to be sure, i snapped a pic of the box. i was under the assumption that the heat range was part of the number. like BKR7E-7 or was i wrong? are these the right plugs i should be using? i know this seems real noobish but i'd rather seem like a noob and be safe, than sorry.

BKRE7E = heat series 7, the heat is the number in the plug code. The number that comes after it -11 like example BKRE7E-11 is the gap number, without a number its 0.8mm and with a number its what the number is, like -11 is 1.1mm
