if your gsr didn't come with any gauges then that may be why you blew the motor

LOL.

If that's your first turbo build, good job
That's pretty much the works, and you will be able to make nice power on that.
What was the motor you blew up tuned with?
How many lbs. were you running?

Good Luck, glad you saw the light and came over to the dark side

I hope saying you're getting your motor sleeved and bored to 85MM for boost was a typo. If you can blow a stock motor up you can blow a sleeved motor up, and if you **** up on an 85MM motor there's no room for error, you sell that block or get it resleeved because it's useless for boost if you go through it once.

It's odd that someone who obviously knows nothing about turbo Hondas is so happy to throw thousands of dollars into it.... or is this even your money? You listed atleast $5000 in parts and labor. Just read this forum in your spare time; you'll learn all you need.

From the looks of all the work on that civic he had, looks like he knows how to throw money into a car. Id just say make sure you get the new motor tunned. Good Luck

i may not know a lot but i know what i want more power and from what i do know this a good start. the old set up had just a vortech fmu (aka paper weight) stock injectors and stock ecu . i know it was a shitty set-up but i was having to much fun. it was pushin like 7-8 lbs ran like **** unless it was hammerd to the floor. and yes i do have a spare block and head to build so as for what actually happend to this one it doesnt matter but when i take it apart i will get some pix to ya. im thinking i burned a whole right through piston number one but we'll see.

Try 81.5MM to start.

82-83 mm....a little more displacement w/ plenty of room to spare if you score the walls a few times
