Default another boosted LS

what do you guys think about my dyno numbers? they seem kind of low to me...any input is welcome.

my setup:
stock ls
short tubular mani
garrett t3 60/48 from ford merkur
38mm tial wastegate with mbc
dumptube to the floor
2.5 downpipe with 3" cutout
dsm 450
walbro 255
2.25 cold side and 2" hot side charge pipes.
8" jrc

spike up to 11psi at 4500rpm then drops back to 8 or 9psi till redline
do you guys think i have a boost leak?

190whp 191 tq

blue lines were my basemap run at 8psi

damn looks just like my friend's dyno when we dynoed without a dumptube. After holding a pipe up on the end of the wastegate during a pull it gained 40whp

Seems pretty low, but there are a lot of things that could be to blame.

Is this a street tune???

no. The torque curve dies bad up top.

What was used to tune the setup?

Remember that the turbo he used is rather small for this motor. He said it spiked 11psi @ 4500rpms... Thats where his peak torque number is.

I would recommend getting a bigger turbo on there. The small turbo is spinning up realllly fast, then starts to die out (torque numbers).

Because of improper tuning. The basemap almost looks better then the tune if it wasn't detonating or fluctuating boost.

That turbo isn't that small and shouldn't do that. Torque should come in a lot sooner. I'm guessing he did a regual ignition retard instead of stepping it.

That's the ugliest dyno graph I've seen in 2-3 months. Got a map posted so we can help you out?

I didnt think about the whole ignition retard thing. I was curious what he used to tune the setup.

Would also have to agree that the turbo in use shouldnt be falling off that soon... expecially on an LS only pushing 6700-6800rpm's.

My 18G on a B16 made power to 8250rpm which is considerably smaller.

Timing is everything on boosted setup's, well really in all setups.. timing can make or break(literally) a car as far as power.

it was tuned on crome. i don't have a map, the tuner should have one. i'll go and ask for one. dang he must have been a sorry *** tuner, wasted 150 dollars for a sorry *** tune.
i was thinking that too, that my turbo shouldn't be falling off that soon too.
