Default Analog Turbo Timers

Anyone use these analog turbo timers off ebay? Theyre cheap, and he has good feedback.

Might as well just sit in your car and wait. Someone can easily hop in and drive off since that kind of turbo timer doesnt seem to have an e-brake or clutch kill switch.

It will just be a track car, it wont be driven on the street, so theft wont be an issue.

I hope that thing isn't just a 555 timer, set up in monostable mode, which just switches in 3 different value resistors to get the time to be 1, 3, or 5 mintues.

That chip is like $1.00 from radio shack.
