ALS or bang-bang system?
anti-lag system where it shoots air into the turbine from what is typically relased to atomposhere on a bov........
nicknamed bang bang becuase of what the car does..........shoots flames out of the exuast becuase when you tune it it richens when you let off the throttle and ignites in the manifold
ever seen WRC?
do you wonder why the big turbo cars dont have blow off vavles? but instead just shoot flames out the tail?
anti-lag system
think it was also factory on select fords and toyotas maybe older evo's?

no thats a rumor................ like nitrous burning your rings or taking life off the motor.......and not having enough back pressure burning your valve seats..........
you dont have to run a straight pipe

not blow off......an air bypass, however it is possible to run a fuel injector. this however is a crude way to do it and will cause it to be rich and will creat a LARGE flame
todays WRC cars use the air bypass.........you dont have to

all it does is severly retard the timing and add extra fuel, so that the burn happens later in the cycle and carries through the exhaust and into the turbocharger, no air bypass happening. heat in exhaust = energy in exhaust. Energy + turbocharger wheel = faster moving turbocharger wheel
