Is this all worth it?
I have been at my FI project for my CRX for oh 2 years now... as I sit here this morning doing research on head work, I can't help but wonder if it's all worth it. The way I calculate it, when it's all set and done, it wouldn't suprise me if the cost broke the $10k mark. But is it worth it? It seems as if I have been buying and collecting parts for a really long time now. But when I look for the light at the end of the tunnel, it is still so far away. Perhaps as I get older, there are other "priorities" in my life. When I buy parts now, I tend to get a "man I probably should save the money". But when I really think about it, just what else would I do? Yes, saving for the rainy day is always good, and that's being done... but it almost seem as if all this is not worth it.
Perhaps I am just losing focus? I donno... when I look at what I have already spent and what else I need to spend on... it makes me want to sell my things and just watch from the sidelines.....

Don't be gay man. Just keep going. I've been buying parts for 6 months now and after 6 grand I still haven't seen any of them. They're all sitting in the US while I'm in Korea poor and lonely.
well, that's kinda what I mean... this is the cycle as I see it:
buy parts
get poor
can't do anything cause we have to "Save up for parts"
buy parts
get poor
can't do anything...
it's just keeps going and going and going.

if i were you, i would buy the parts to get the turbo kit on first, just basic stuff like ic, turbo etc. dont save up at once for management, huge exhaust, port and polish. i just got my car running over the summer, and its no fun building the car once like it seems you are doing.
boost it , then upgrade to management, intake manifolds, exhaust, bigger turbos etc. a lot of guys on honda tech try and build 300whp for their first cars, IMHO, i say to boost a car with about 6 psi, then upgrade internals, management etc.
good luck, i also spent the 2002 summer under my car, waiting for parts etc

Well im not a precher but i do believe in God. I think the same way with all of the money and all the parts.......It's a way of life. Don't stop because in the end all of this earthly crap, car money all of it is going to be left behind. SO have fun while your here and enjoy life because it dosent really matter in the end. So your answer is NO it's not worth it, but nothing is worth nothing unless this is all you live for and not ready to go to heaven. That's what really matters and that's the only thing that matters. Don't stop keep drivin hard!
