On a B Series the front of the valve cover has the "vertical" OE baffle, the rear does not...meaning when venting the rear the fittings go slightly below the baffle and when on the front they go behind the baffle. You can vent either way

very nice build, love that intercooler. Really want to see what it put down on a dyno. Track times are impressive.
That innovate ethanol content guage looks nice as well. Im considering picking one up. Who wants to test e85 content with a test tube?!

The content gauge was a piece of mind/life saver, especially since it had just got a bad tank before the car got here. I'm adding one in to my own car.

Sidenote: New goal target E.T is 9.99...so we'll see what additional things will be addressed to help reach that.

Is it all about volume with those manifolds? I never really saw a point to them with such a huge plenum, simply because I feel they would flow like dick.. I am probably wrong, but insight is appreciated

Pretty sure it's all about the cams here. If they were stock or even ITR, I'd think such a large plenum would be more harm than good.

You are correct, it is about airflow, volume required by the setup and more so w/ the cam choice and wanting it all to "keep up" without choking/running out.(I do find it interesting/cool that GE plenum volume sizes take steps in 1.8L between each size [4.2 to 6.0 to 7.8L]). The intake choice was narrowed down to being between the Ultra Race and the GE; which we went GE for a few different reasons. It will also be paired w/ a 90mm throttle body.
The manifold looks huge, but in comparison (I have a B16 version sitting here as well) it's only about 1" larger across.
The "things to buy" list is growing shorter and shorter!

They're very nice and perform well, but with great off the shelf options like the S2 Ultra street/race, or Edelbrock Victor/Performer-X, it can be hard to justify purchasing one of these unless you're going for big upper end power, or have a very specific use in mind. These aluminum intakes are anywhere between $800->$1200, especially if they're custom.
