All of a sudden runs like *** - HELP
Ok so I have a turbo '95 LS teg and I have had it runing pretty decent on UD using my desktop. High 14s to low 15s AFR part throttle, 12s AFR WOT 10psi. Been runing good for prolly 6 months ... been shopping for a laptop to dial it in.
Anyway, I drove it to school a couple nights ago and set the cruise @ 65 on the way in town and it was fine with the usual 14-15AFR .... but as I got into town it started to take a **** on me. Wanted to die at stop lights, on take off the AFRs were all over from 10-20 and back and it would buck and run like *** ...
Got it to school and popped the hood. Looked everything over and all seemed normal other than a couple tiny tears in my vac line going to my FPR right where it slips on. So I pulled it off, cut the end off and put it back and went to class.
Got out 6hrs later and it started and ran fine about half way accross town and then it started it again. Pulled over and checked all my other vac lines, all looked good. Figured I could limp it home. Got out on the hwy and set the cruise @ 65 and it ran a pretty steady 12AFR .... slowly climbed to 13 .... then 14...15....16, 17, 18 ... got off hwy.
Died at exit stop light. Started back up and bucked like *** taking off. Cruising ~50mph it would go from 15AFR to 19 after only a couple seconds of steady throttle. Ended up gaging the throttle the rest of the way to keep the AFR in the 14s....
At one point I floored it for a second just to see if it would make boost and it did, but went lean fast.
Need some comments on this. Stressed cause I am selling my DD right now and the LST needs to be my transportation for awhile. Kinda lost on the problem ... does this sound like a vac leak problem to you? Any ideas ??
Thanks

$10 says its the distributor, my GSR did the EXACT same thing. Its not your vacuum, its either the coil or the ignitor in the dist., instead of buying new parts from Honda, buy a brand nw reman on ebay for under $150 to your door.

Is there any way for me to verify that this is the problem before buying parts?

I have an AEM FPR ... and a new Walbro 255 intank ... I am pretty sure the fuel pressure guage I have on the filter was ~40psi at idle but I will double check and report back.
