Alignment with Full Race Traction Bars
I just got my car aligned with the full race traction bars. The car feels great and handles a lot better than before. After I got the car aligned I took it around an on ramp and the tires didn't even screech at all (regular falken street tires). Hopefully they will improve my 60' times at the track. I scanned the print out of the alignment. Everything is within spec. Sorry if its a little large, I tried resizing it but you can only shrink it so much before its unreadable.
thats awesome. but i am still confused as to how a alignment shop knows how to adjust these bars. i mean these bars dont come on the cars from the factory so how do they know how to adjust them. maybe im thinking about it to hard but i just dont want to spend all the money on these things and then install them and have a alignment shop turn me away tellingme that they cant do it with these bars on. or a shop that ***** sopmething up because they dontknow what they are doing.
am i correct in thinking that basically you install the traction bars... take it to get aligned and all they do is LOOSEN the traction bars complete your alignment and then tighten the bars back and thats it?

Thats all I did. All they do is adjust the rods on the traction bars to dial in the caster. I have a camber kit to adjust the camber. Just find a place that aligns lowered cars and raised trucks they will know how to align the car.

good stuff
the alignment shop will know how to adjust these things, it has nothing to do with taking them moff, rather everything to do with adjusting them to get the caster perfect.

Thanks geoff, I was the one bugging you a couple weeks ago about how I couldn't get them to fit on my integra. It turns out that when you have the car jacked up the drop fork turns toward the contral arm mounts of the traction bars. Thus, making it difficult to get the bolt through the mount hole. Plus you need to have the mount at the right angle to get the bolt through without it hitting the drop fork. I just ended up putting them on with the car on the ground and not jacked up. I jacked the car up to put the cross member on then put the car on the ground to install the control arm mounts and rods.
Adjusting the tie rods is more of a chore then setting up some traction bars to factory spec, IMHO. Even the JimFabs I have where you have to drop the front heim joint to adjust them isn't more than a 5 minute job.
