Default Air/Fuel ratio

My car hasn't been tuned since I did the new swap. It's a fresh LS, with a stg. 2 JG Engine Dynamics head. Walbrol 255, 450s, ect.

I just got an AEM UEGO. At cruising speeds, I'm at 12.4. WOT is maxed at 10.1 Car is on 9 lbs with the timing at 16. Can I simply just add a pound or two to try to lean it out? Would this be safe? Shooting for 11 or 11.5 at WOT

EDIT- Car was originally tuned for a cutout. Now it just has the stock Si exhaust.

you need a retune.

At cruising speeds, I'm at 12.4. ------- your killing fuel economy and tuning is the only solution

WOT is maxed at 10.1----- im surprised the car will even pull through an AFR that rich, your tune needs some serious adjustments.

Car is on 9 lbs with the timing at 16. ----- 16 base timing or under boost? sounds again like you need to take the car to have it tuned.

Can I simply just add a pound or two to try to lean it out? ----- add a pound or 2 of what? boost? what was the car tuned with?

Would this be safe?---- probably not, take it to be tuned!

Alright, alright. I hear ya.

I'm not tuner savvy, but I beleive the timing is 16 at idle.

Yes, I was talking about adding boost.

Doesn't blow out spark, and my plugs have lasted about 4 months now.

It goes the 29th for a retune, just wasn't sure if there was something simple I could do at home to help. Guess not. Thanks for the heads up. If not, I probably would have just started added pound by pound to see what the A/F did.

It's probably the added fuel pressure, if the walbro was not there before.
Hey at least you're on the safe side, but you're gonna clog your cat and foul your O2 and waste a lot of gas.
Adding boost would probably not be any safer, or lean you out at cruising. As long as you have the UEGO, you can at least monitor anything you change.

if you have an adjustable fpr, you could try turning the fuel pressure down just a tad until you get tuned. i wouldnt drive in boost too much until you get a retune though
