I'll give it a 7 on a scale to 10. The primaries are kinda small for a 3.0liter, the collector could be a little longer and the wastegate re-entry should be closer to the downpipe/midpipe flange.

looks pretty standard to me... as far as the primary size goes, I think most supra kits tend to over kill on pipe size... maybee some of the people that are more educated on manifold design could comment, because I would really like to know how to properly pick primary size. I work on supras a lot and the exhaust ports are smaller than ours... it has always surprised me how much power a stock supra head can make with such small ports...

so experianced manifold builders, is there much benefit to making you primary tubes larger than your head ports?

Over here 42.7mm OD is the standard size for inline 4 motors with 45mm, 48mm and 50mm being used for high boost applications. Your typical inline-6, V-6 and V-8 motor will start with a 45mm OD primary and then work it's way up from there. Rotories use 50~65mm primaries. Piping thickness also plays a factor since a thinwall 42.7mm tube will flow better than a thickwall 45mm tube but you always pay a strength penalty when using thinwall tubing. SPACE is also a factor to consider so some 6/8 cylinder setups also use the 42.7mm tubes.

Long primaries allow you to use the exhaust pulses to make better power throughout the powerband since the pulses will not be colliding as they enter the turbine. Equal length ruuners will ensure each cylinder does the same amount of work. A longer collector will also decrease the traffic jam effect that is commonly encountered on short collector setups.

Hopefully Geoff or LoveFab will make some comments since they have done quite a bit of manifold construction R&D. There are lots of other mani experts out there but the last three or four Kirin super drafts that found their way into my body may have erased some info from my memory banks so I can not recall their names at this time.
