AFC problems please help!!!!

I attempted to wire up my AFC today and followed the instructions in the apexi manual, after wiring everything and double checking it i put the key in, turned it and nothing, no power to the afc. i know this is really general but anyone have any ideas where to start looking for problems?
a common problem is that people don't look at the connector correctly. they look at it from the wrong side. also some ecu have 3 plugs instead of one long one and they connect into the wrong plug. did you solder into the stock wire or use quick connects? soldering is better. is your afc new or used? could be smoked if used. i would suggest looking at the diagram of the plug from the instructions and also cross check against a repair manual (haynes or helms) and make sure the wires you spliced into were the correct colored wires based on the diagram. when i did mine the diagram was a bitch to read because it was blurry scan from the website. it's defiantely wired wrong, loose connection, or dead. good luck.
also, did you turn the key all the way to on (not cranking the motor)? it doesn't come on at accessory position.

Definately agree... MANY people look at the connector incorrectly... as it sits fliped and upsidedown to plug in.
Make sure you count right and double check the connection quality.
I had problems with my vafc cause I was a dumbass and tapped the wrong wire for tps... needless to say a few moments check by a second set of eyes caught it immediately.
