Re: AEM Wideband (Dual Cam Racing)
I like mine a lot, and I've had it for quite a while now. On the other hand, it's the only wideband I've had, so I can't compare it to anything else, but I just can't imagine what more I would ask for.

Yuck...its my least favorite of all the cheapo widebands on the market today.
They fail at a ridiculously high rate, the analog output isnt linear and they use a different connector than the standard Bosch sensor.

YES. Horrible.
I've liked, the FJO (loved), NGK wide band, PLX
I've hated, the innovate and the AEM wide bands.

Re: AEM Wideband (Tjabo)
I have used plx, innovate and ngk widebands.
I have had an aem uego in my personal car for over 2 years without a problem.
I think its all about who you ask, some people "hate" other brands because they heard some rumor etc.
Each unit seems to have its ups and downs. If your a baller, buy an FJO unit

Other than using leaded fuel, does anyone think it might be largely because of sensor placement? Were these sensors mounted toward the top of the pipe as the directions require? I've got mine on the very top of the pipe, and so far so good. I've got my fingers crossed now! Hah hah. . .

Re: AEM Wideband (Tjabo)
I just feel like it's not to accurate on a second had i've never had anyother sensor so i dont know what to expect. But just under normaly driving condistions the guage is all over the place.

I completely agree. FJO, NGK, Prologger, and Motec are my recommendations. They all have their place. At the entry level, the NGK meter is awesome, and with the NTK senor upgrade you've got a kick *** wideband at a really good price. The FJO wideband is excellent as well, though a bit more than the NGK. The Prologger is the neatest of the bunch in my opinion. With on board boost control and rpm activated outputs on it, you can have it setup to turn the boost down if it starts to lean out among many other things. The Motec PLM is top of the line, and way out of most people's budget at well over $2k.

Re: AEM Wideband (tony1)
Stay as far away from the PLX as possible, I swear those things come broken off the assembly line. Joe uses an FJO here for tuning, we bought it used with who knows how much time on it, and its still kickin storng after almost a year, The NTK sensor rocks.
Sometimes its worth spending the extra couple dollars for a reliable wideband, My PLX caused some serious aggravation with my car on the dyno.
