aem ems, no cold start
it's 36 deg and I'm running a turbo 440 basemap and I'm trying to start it up. It will fire, idle like ****, then die and won't start back up. fuel pressure reads 45 psi, anyone know if this is because of "cold start" settings on the ems or something else. Thanks
when I had AEM EMS on my car, i had to start the car with the pedal pushed in a bit, then keep it at like 2500-3000 for about 30 seconds, or it wouldnt stay running. damn cold starts
there is this new stuff... its called TUNING, maybe you all have heard of it. get some and it will fire up and idle like a champ.
your info is so vague i cant help, even if i wanted too... whats the O2 doing when it does this, what are the ait's, do you have the idle settings done properly? what about the timnig, do you have that synced?

o2 feedback is a bandaid for a crappy tune. IMHO
the ONLY reason you should ever use o2 feedback is to use it to lean it out at super low load (ie, steady state cruising) when throttle response gets mushy if you tune it to run that lean. that only needs to be done on about 1% of the cars and only when you are after maximum possible gas mileage. this normally is NOT needed on turbo cars.

Ya JDOGG is right. The start up cal is just not working for you. You just need to get it tuned. I was tuning my car yesterday and used a old calibration and it did the same thing. I just uploaded my tuned calibration and it started up and ran just perfect.
