Turbo Oil Feed Postion ?
Ok ive been trying to clock my turbo for bouth 3 1/2 hrs now. ive heated it. Smacked it with a rubber mallet...will it was heated and held in a vice.. to make a long story short..it wont budge...sooo i have a little question...
The feed isnt right on top like its suposed to be...but its kinda ...on the top lol...no pictures im sorry. Im wondering if the oil pressure from the motor will push the oil enough where it will flow out.? Is there enough pressure there. Or do i have to put it on top.? i Would say that it would be at a 10:00 postion...can someone help me out with this....

how is it so hard to more that you need a torch and hammer to clock the turbo?
are you sure you loosend the correct bolts? it should spin super easy with the bolts loose.
what kind of turbo is it? is it new or used?

Re: Turbo Oil Feed Postion ? (wantboost)
Yah i thought that it would be like eveyone said....just get some heat on it. and it will turn fine...NOPE ..sorry.. There are 6 bolts on the exhaust side. Losend all of them. Now the 4 bolts that are in the middel where the oil and water feeds are. do those need to be taken out?.

no, if you pull those out you are taking the whole compressor side off of the turbo, of course it wont come off because the compressor wheel is still bolted on the shaft,
what would be better for heat is if you have an oxyacetelene torch and youcould just adjust it to a sooty flame.
