I went through it and made sure that:

- "MAP Analog Input" was set to MAP Voltage
- "Throttle Analog Input" was set to TPS Voltage

That made no change. I'm still getting 7 volts out of all three wires going to the sensors. Now I'm getting a little worried that the EMS may have damaged the sensors by sending out crazy voltages. I guess I'll tackle that issue once the EMS gets worked out.

Thanks for the help so far! Keep the suggestions coming.

If I can find a 1050 box I'll try that.

I have had problems in the past with the older 30-1010's and 30-1000's. Not saying the box is your problem but putting it out there

I'll give AEM a call tomorrow. Hopefully they have an idea.

the prob with the older boxes, is that people are buyin them used, and they exchange alot of hands, not knowing what the previous owner did to the box....custom mods, damage, etc etc

Hopefully it doens't come down to me buying a new unit.

Right now I'm worried that I have to replace sensors that the EMS may have damaged. But I'll worry about that when the EMS starts acting correctly.

does the map signal move when the throttle is depressed? If so go over your wiring carefully there is a ground problem.

The signal does not move with the throttle movement. Everything works as normal with the factory ECU. Once the EMS is plugged in the Ground acts up. I have to wait for the West coast to wake up and we'll see what AEM has to say.

I had similar with my 1040. It showed 100% on tps and map. Long story short, I took the EMS to AEM and had them check it out.

They gave it back to me and said that it worked fine on their test bench and it should be fine. I took the guy out to the parking lot and plugged it into my civic w/laptop and it had the same problem. I then plugged in the stock ecu and it worked fine.

He took the ems back into the repair center and swapped out the daughter board and gave it back to me. Worked fine after that and I haven't had any probems since then.

I guess I'm lucky that I live that close to AEM, that would have sucked if I had to send it back and forth like that.

I just spoke to AEM. Just like you they said the bench tested everything before sending it back to me. They recommened one more test that I'll try today before sending it back to them.

I had this happen to me on a customers 30-1400 Mustang EMS...all three wires for the map sensor(power, ground, signal) all showed 5 volts with the AEM plugged in.

Had to send the box back as either the mother/daughter boards were fried.

Hope this isn't the case for you and that your's may still be under warranty, as they now have a very strict policy on repairs. $60 to look at the unit if out of warranty, plus the cost of the parts needing replaced.

When that happened did any of the sensors get damanged? I'm worried about the sensors because I have 6 sensors getting voltage where there should have been a ground.

I don't have a problem with paying for repairs. I'm very happy with their tech support and I think it's well worth the money. As long as it's nothing ridiculous.

None of the sensors were damaged.

Plugged the repaired box back in and everythig was back up and running like normal.

That's good news from you. I'll ship the box out tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to get to UPS.

I've had this same problem with an SR20 box. Sent it to AEM and they said it was fine. It magically worked when we got it back, with zero changes to anything. They must know there is some issue here, since they love to charge for anything and everything.
