AEM map sensor problem?
my friend has an s2k thats boosted. give or take ~300. everything is being upgraded from manifold to turbo to injectors etc.
1st thing he did is install his AEM 3.5bar map sensor and the car starts but doesnt stay on?? could the map sensor cause this problem?
car was running fine before that install.

Re: AEM map sensor problem?
Does it still have the stock ecu in it? If so, then that's probably the issue.
It's not like it takes long to swap map sensors, but the stock one back in and see if the car runs and then wait till the car is tuned to install the aem map sensor.

Re: AEM map sensor problem?
When swapping to a higher reading map sensor, the settings in the ecu for the map sensor need to be calibrated or adjusted in order for the ecu to read the map sensor properly.
In short, there isn't a problem. Install the new map sensor with the aem ems and your tuner will take care of the rest.
