The JG is designed more for top end power (ie 7k rpm +). The aebs will provide stronger gains in the mid range while still producing more power (than stock) in the top end. I would go with the AEBS if your still using stock redline.

What motor? Power goal? How high will you rev? Any head work?

You can easily reach 500 with a stock head, so the power is not the problem. The problem would be revving the motor past the stock redline, it's hard on the vavletrain.
