Default Adjusting internal wastegate

I've got a Garrett with an internal wastegate and the actuator arm is threaded so one can adjust the length and thus the boost level at which it opens...does making it shorter raise boost or making it longer? I believe it's a T3, but possibly T25, with a .42 A/R compressor and .48 A/R turbine.
Anyone?

ttt

I'm thinkin making the rod shorter will be more boost because it will compress the spring inside and require more boost pressure to overcome the force.
